In my latest article, “Beginners Guide to Photographing Birds In Flight” I provide tips for photographing birds in flight, whether you are photographing action or birds in flight, it requires a lot of patience and practice. It is not only necessary to have the right camera gear and the knowledge to use them effectively but also to understand what settings work best under which circumstances and creating beautiful compositions. In this article, I share with you the three most important principles of photographing birds in flight and expand on each principle so that you have a clear understanding of the skills needed to make images of birds in flight look artistic and visually pleasing to your audience.

When I photograph birds, I have one sole intention: I want my audience not only to look carefully at my wildlife photos but to also stop, spend some time with them, and be truly curious about them. Images that generate an emotion involve a thought process and must be carefully planned ahead of time. While staging bird shots is one way of doing this, I personally prefer to do it in a natural environment. There are many ways of creating impact with images. Creating a Selection for Wildlife Photos

When it comes to post-processing your wildlife photos, the first step is the ability to use a selection to isolate your subject from its background. This isolation allows you to apply different post-processing strategies for your subject and your background. It also requires complex selection techniques that are best implemented in Photoshop.
